Lucia Catherine:
My sweet little Lucy Cate is growing by the day! She isn't the sleepy, soft newborn who sleeps all day anymore... now she is a smiling, cooing, interactive little cutie. I will be holding her but occupied with something else, when she will coo at me. I look down at her, and she rewards me with a smile. And not just one of those teeny ones... a HUGE wide open-mouthed grin complete with the cutest dimples ever known. She is just such a precious girl! I love to hear her "talking" to me now.
Lucy Cate really enjoyed having my Daddy here this week, because she never had to be put down for even a minute. She was all-smiles to her Poppy and they spent a lot of time napping together in the recliner.
Tomorrow, she will officially be two months old. I can't believe how fast it has passed, and how much she has changed!

Benedict Paul:
When my Daddy was here, he said to Ben, "Come here, shorty." Ben looked at him, blinked, and said, "I not Shorty. I Ben-Ben."
My little boy is such a stinker! He left an empty fruit snacks wrapper on the floor, and I said, "Ben-Ben, throw your trash away." He replied, "No, Mommy throw it away." I had to insist. ;) Now he will say the same thing about picking up toys, putting something away, or throwing trash away. It is funny, but I have to make sure not to laugh and encourage it.
Ben-Ben is obsessed with being "dangerous." He will climb on top of ANYTHING, stable or not, and/or jump off without warning. He is just a wild thing! When I tell him, "Put your feet on the floor, that's not safe!" He will beam with pride and reply, "I so dangerous!" Great, a little daredevil already. It is only a matter of time before we end up in the ER.

Isabella Clare:
When Joseph and Ana were here for Lucia's baptism, we all went out to dinner. Isabella wanted Joseph to sit by her in the van. Our little Kia Sedona doesn't seat more than our family. Two carseats in back, two in the middle, and two adults. That's it! I told Isabella that Joseph and Ana would be taking their owncar and meeting us at the restaurant. Isabella said, "Why don't you and the baby go back inside?" I laughed and said, "But I am hungry. I want to go eat too." She replied, "There's food inside the house. You can go back in the house and eat a sandwich." So I guess if it comes down to a choice between me or uncle Joseph, aka the best Godfather ever, he will win.
Isabella did redeem her manners with a new game she made up with Ben-Ben. She will pass the Dave and Buster's prized light-up football between her and Ben,and they will say, "Please? Thank you." It is so cute! Isabella will insist that Ben say please before she passes the football. I love it.
When Bella wants something, she sometimes gets shy. For example, if I've given her a cup of iced water at lunch, she will shrug her little shoulders, look down, and say quietly... "Sometimes I like to have juice." It is so cute! I then will remind her to use her "asking words."

Madeleine Sophie:
Madeleine Sophie and I spent a lot of time alone in the car as Poppy stayed home with the littlest three while I took her to and from Girl Scout Day Camp last week. She asked me a very cute question... "Why do some people get buried on the side of the road?" I told her that they don't... people are buried in graveyards. She pointed out that she could see a cross at the intersection right now, and didn't understand why there were graves by the road. SO funny! I of course explained that they were in memory of someone who had passed away in a car accident in this spot, but the bodies were elsewhere.
Sophie's hands-down favorite part of girl scouts, more than playing with her "buddies" and the water slide and the crafts (which she LOVES), was the daily snowcones. Everyday, she anticipated what new flavors they would offer. She always came home with a stained mouth from her selection. She can't wait to go next year!
Madeleine Sophie is very into "fashion." She spends lots of time dressing up herself and her sister, and also playing her Fashion game on the DS. She came downstairs last week wearing her red dress from the "High School Musical" costume line. She asked me if we could cut off the plastic piece with "High School Musical." I asked her why, and she said, "If we take this off, it would make the perfect party dress. Don't you think?"

Since everyone keeps asking... I got the shirts from made4munchkins, an Etsy site with "Handmade items as unique as your child." Kimberly Andrews contacted "Lerin Photography" to photograph my children in her wares, in exchange for keeping the items. I will post the finished, edited photo shoot on the photography blog later this week!

Now go write about your babies, and add your name to the roll! Don't forget to give me a link back. :)

I love hearing your kid's stories. :) They sound like such perfect kids, though!!! And oh wait.. Westen is STILL saying the things Ben says sometimes.. It's quite frustrating! He and Westen sound quite a bit alike. :) Westen will jump off ANYTHING and is not at all afraid. I'm used to it since he's all I had, but it sounds like you're used to girls being different! :)
Where did you get those adorable shirts??
"It will make the perfect party dress....." This really cracked me up!!! Sophie is too cute.
Colleen... it is a perk of the job! :)
I got them from Kimberly Andrews with www.made4munchkins.etsy.com in exchange for my photography services. Oh, how I love to barter!! :)
"You can go inside and eat a sandwich." LOL! She is so cheeky. But cute. Your middle two appear to be giving you two full hands these days and then some. :)
I love those monogrammed T-shirts!
Love the pictures, and cute little blurbs about your kiddos! My favorite part was, "Sometimes I like to have juice." :)
