BIG news!

Lucy Cate posing for Mommy

My blog is, naturally, being a little neglected right now. I am sure you can imagine how busy this Mommy is! I am still trying to figure out a good routine with meeting everyone's needs, including my own. :) My days are very full, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

I'm working on a mega-post... I have been asked THREE times recently now to share my conversion story. I think that is a clear sign. It is something I have wanted to write out for quite some time, but I always seem to forget. I think I should be done and have it up here within the week. We'll see!

This weekend was packed! Lucy Cate had her one-month well-check on Friday, which I will update on tomorrow with my Tiny Treasures post. On Saturday, we went to Jackie's daughter's third birthday party, and while it was fun, it wore me out. It was my first "real" social gathering since Lucy arrived, and it was a LOT of work! Sunday, I did my first post-Lucy photo shoot, another First Communion session for a friend. See it here.. We spent the rest of the day at Adam's parents, then headed over to our monthly Teams of Our Lady meeting in the evening. By the time we got home last night, we were all ready to go straight to bed.

The most exciting thing of all, though...

I have BIG NEWS! At 2:30 AM this morning, Baby C arrived! He was 7 lbs, 13 oz and 19.5 inches long. Please pray for everyone... pray for the continued health of the baby, his new parents as they welcome their very first baby, and his birth mother (or as I prefer, First Mommy). Please also continue to pray for my abundant milk supply to donate to him. I am getting 25 oz a day consistently, but haven't been able to increase beyond that. I read that on average, a 1-6 month old takes 24-40 oz per day, so I am already getting the "low" end of average... but I would love to get 30 oz to feel "safe." I'm hoping I can give him ALL he needs, and that he won't have to have any formula supplementation. I thought I had another few weeks to get a better stock ahead of time!

Thank you for continuing to pray for us.

C-U-T-I-E!! Miss Lucy Cate sure is growing fast!

Sounds like you were PLENTY busy this past weekend. Take a minute to rest when you can.

Baby C has arrived...hooray! I'll keep praying for all of them and for you and your thoughtful efforts with pumping. Sounds like you are doing great, despite being on the low end of average.

Can't wait for your story!! I don't know if I have ever asked about it, but I've wondered many times. I'll be on the edge of my seat in anticipation. ;)

Blessings on your week.

That is big news - Congratulations to all! Baby C is so lucky to have whatever you are able to provide for him, and any formula he may need will only supplement that. I can't wait to hear your conversion story - my sister converted a few years ago and I went to Mass last summer and loved it. Been in the back of my mind ever since.

I too was thinking she's starting to look like a blue-eyed Ben-Ben! She's so precious. :)

Good luck on the breastmilk donations; I know you'll do great! But please, just don't beat yourself up if you start falling short...you've really done well so far! Still, I'll be praying.

Getting 25 oz a day is GREAT...especially since you are nursing two babies really. Drink Drink Drink water....that will do it. Im sure you know that though. I cant even imagine how busy you are. Been there done that...but was not pumping for a second baby..so I have high respect for you. :) Keep us updated.

Congratulations! I’ve nominated you for the Honest Scrap Award. Have fun with it.
In accepting this award, I need to do the following:
1) Say thanks and give a link to the presenter of the award.
2) Share "ten honest things" about myself.
3) Present this award to 7 others whose blogs I find brilliant in content and/or design, or those who have encouraged me.
4) Tell those 7 people that they've been awarded HONEST SCRAP and inform them of these guidelines in receiving it.
